Skybrook Storm Swim Team

Skybrook Storm Swim Team’s mission is to provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment where swimmers of all ages and skill levels can thrive. Our goal is to bring out the best in our participants, both in and out of the pool, by developing a healthy work ethic, building self-confidence, encouraging leadership, and striving for teamwork and good sportsmanship. Through our deep rooted traditions, we foster an exciting, family-friendly, community-building environment where both swimmers and parents can build friendships and make lifelong memories. Our hope is to instill a love for the water and inspire a lifelong passion for the sport of swimming.

Skybrook Storm is Skybrook's successful and long-running neighborhood swim team with a record 11 consecutive Triad Swim League championships. And we brought the championship back to Skybrook in 2024! The team is run by parent volunteers with a roster over 135 swimmers ranging in age from 4-18. Thanks to ongoing parent involvement and continuing neighborhood support, Skybrook Storm will celebrate its 22nd season in 2025.

The Triad is made up of six local neighborhoods – Skybrook, Davis Lake, Cedarfield, Winchester, Wynfield Forest and Wellington – that compete against one another throughout the month of June. At the end of the season, all five teams compete in a championship swim meet (CHAMPS), usually held at Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatic. The team that accumulates the most points throughout the regular season and at CHAMPS is crowned Triad Swim League champion.

Skybrook Storm is a fun family and community building activity and a great way to get to know your Skybrook neighbors. We invite swimmers of all ages and abilities to join us for another championship-caliber season.
