Skybrook Storm Swim Team

In 2022, we kicked off a new scholarship program for our older swimmers to work toward. We’ve gotten so much joy in watching our swimmers grow up while being a part of the Skybrook Storm team. Now we can give back! Every year, Skybrook Storm will award one graduating senior a scholarship to be used toward college expenses. The eligibility requirements are:

• Must be a current and active Skybrook Storm swimmer in their senior year of high school.
• Must have been an active Skybrook Storm team member the past 3 consecutive years.
• Must attend at least 50% of the Skybrook Storm swim meets each season.

We are so proud of our seniors and we're so happy to reward them for all of their hard work and dedication.

Application timeline for the 2026 Senior Scholarship will be announced in May.

The co-recipients of the 2025 Skybrook Storm senior scholarship received a combined $2,400. Congratulations to Payton Bailey and Charlotte McCurdy! These two accomplished seniors have been such important parts of Skybrook Storm across the years, both as competitors and coaches. We are thrilled to honor them both.

A 5-year member of Storm, Payton is heading to App State. Charlotte is a 6-year veteran of the team, heading to RCCC. Best of luck to you both as you start your new adventures!

The recipient of the 2024 Skybrook Storm senior scholarship received $2,000. Congratulations to Providence Christian Academy Senior and 6 year veteran Skybrook Storm swimmer, Noah Mlingo! Best of luck to you as you start your new adventure at NC State!

Noah's accomplishments and honors:

Maranatha Volunteer International Scholarship, Capstone Merit Scholar, UNCW Distinguished Merit Scholar, NC A&T University Merit Scholar, Central Piedmont Community College graduate with honors (Associate in Arts degree).

MS & Varsity Swim (6-12 grade, 2 years states, 3rd place), Esports (7-12 grade), Gaming Fridays 8-12 grade, student leader), Varsity Basketball (11-12 grade, co-captain), Varsity Volleyball (12 grade, co-captain), Mock Trial (11-12 grade, attorney)

Math 4 Award (highest grade), States (Swim) 2 years - finals and 2022 3rd place Men's Medley, All Conference), MVP Men's Volleyball, HSEL Esports Champion Fortnite 2019, 2021-2022 Varsity Basketball All Conference.
